The 2022 Springfield Township Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, starting at 12:00 Noon. The parade will start at West Springfield Road and South Britton Road and end at Saxer Avenue and Powell Road, with the reviewing located in front of Old Central School. Please come to the parade early to enjoy pre-parade festivities at the reviewing stand on Saxer Avenue beginning at 11:30am.
This year’s parade will include many fraternal, school, church, community, local business, boy and girl scout troops, fire companies, and Irish Dance groups. There will also be plenty of music including high school marching bands, pipe and drum bands, and string bands.
The Delaware County divisions of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians will be participating in this year’s parade to honor our Grand Marshal, the Springfield Fire Company, in honor of their 100 years of service to the Springfield community.
The Hunter-Long Award will again be presented to the “BEST” appearing group in the parade. It is sponsored by Art and Jim Hunter, former long-time Springfield residents, in honor of their father and their uncle.
The Parade Committee asks for your prayers for good weather AND for no interruption to the parade (via the pandemic) on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Hope to see you at the parade!
