2025 SPRINGFIELD SAINT PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
GUIDELINES, RULES, & REGULATIONS
- ABSOULTELY NO THROWING OF CANDY OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF GIVE-AWAY ITEMS from a moving vehicle is permitted. These rules are for the safety of the participants and spectators (especially young children). Parade participants walking the route may “hand-deliver” items at the curbside.
- No alcoholic beverages of any type are permitted in the staging areas or the line of march.
- No solicitation or fund raising is permitted without a Springfield Township Vendors Permit, except to benefit the Springfield St. Patrick’s Parade Committee to provide the financial means to hold the parade
- Political or campaign signs or items are permitted, but kindly keep all signage worded appropriately.
- Please limit performances along the parade route, in order to keep the parade moving along. You will be given an opportunity to perform in front of the reviewing stand.
- To prevent any delays along the Parade route, all participants in the line of march, must follow the instruction of the Parade Marshals and Police Officers at all times. They are there to assist with your safety and to keep the parade moving.
- Kindly limit the excessive use of any loud horns and/or sirens as this can diminish the music played by Bands and/or Irish dancing groups.
- Any organization arriving late will be placed at the end of the parade.
- The bus pick-up location is at the 200 block of Saxer Avenue below the Springfield Firehouse, with all buses facing south, towards Baltimore Pike. Please advise the bus drivers of this requirement and do NOT block the entrance or exit of the Springfield Firehouse or the parking lots, for obvious reasons.
- A rain date is scheduled for March 22, 2025. In the event of inclement weather or any other unforeseen circumstance, please listen to KYW – 1060 AM radio for information.
- If you have a vehicle processing in the parade, you must display your insurance card on the dashboard (driver’s windshield) and may not exceed 5 mph along the parade route.
